August 18, 2012 -The number of martyrs in Syria has risen to 172 thus far. 70 martyrs were reported in Damascus and its Suburbs; including 40 who were discovered in Tal area, 30 in Deir Ezzor, 27 in Daraa; most of them in Hirak town; 26 in Aleppo; 11 in Homs, 5 in Idlib, 2 in Lattakia, and 1 in Hassake. Syria has witnessed since the beginning of Ramadan many massacres that claimed the lives as what the local Coordination Committees was able to document more than 4685 martyrs, including 445 children and 342 women ...

The number of martyrs in Syria has risen to 172 thus far. 70 martyrs were reported in Damascus and its Suburbs; including 40 who were discovered in Tal area, 30 in Deir Ezzor, 27 in Daraa; most of them in Hirak town; 26 in Aleppo; 11 in Homs, 5 in Idlib, 2 in Lattakia, and 1 in Hassake.
Syria has witnessed since the beginning of Ramadan many massacres that claimed the lives as what the local Coordination Committees was able to document more than 4685 martyrs, including 445 children and 342 women. 1540 were martyred in Damascus and its Suburbs which is the largest number of martyrs, every since the regime Army did not stop of storming cities and committing the most heinous abuses against civilians, followed by Aleppo that has sacrificed the lives of 943 of its sons who insisted on continuing their daily demonstrations despite the Collective massacres and the fierce shelling that the region has witnessed since the beginning of Ramadan until the time of writing this report, Idlib also paid as precious bill for freedom the lives of 568 martyrs of its sons in Ramadan many of them were killed under torture followed by Homs with 539 martyr then Daraa who gave 506 martyrs, including many families were martyred by the shelling, which was centered on most cities in conjunction with the time of iftaar, Deir Ezzor has given 419 martyrs, including the cities of Boukamal and Mohassan which witnessed daily clashes between the free Syrian army and the regime forces, Hama gave 225 martyrs as sacrifices for freedom and the rest of the martyrs were distributed on the rest of the Syrian cities that still insist on completing the march of freedom until toppling the regime, gaining freedom and building a civil state.
Idlib: Maaret Al-Nouma: Child Enas Abdul Hakeed Al-Sabouh, 8, was martyred due to indiscriminate shelling by regime forces at houses and markets.
Daraa: Heit: Fierce and indiscriminate shelling at the city's houses.
Idlib: Maaret Al-Nouman: A child was martyred and her parts were cut, and several other children were severely injured after a shell was launched at the city by regime forces.
Damascus Suburbs: Bebila: Regime's helicopters open fire from its heavy machine guns at the outskirts of the town.
Homs: Tal Kalakh: A tough humanitarian situation in the city and residents are calling for help due to fierce rocket and artillery shelling by regime forces.
Damascus Suburbs: Mouadamyeh: An explosions was heard and gunfire by regime forces resumed.
Idlib: Maaret Al-Nouman: Fire in the Great Omayyad Mosque and in several houses, and several wounded were reported as a result of artillery shelling by regime forces on the town's markets. This led to residents panicking.
Idlib: Maaret Al-Nouman: Hussein Ibrahim Al-Hamid was martyred due to the regime forces' shelling of the city.
Damascus: Naher Eisheh: Regime forces blockes all roads leading to the neighborhood at Damascus- Daraa international highway using cement blocks.
Qamishli: Several people are wounded due to intense gunfire and tear gas with which regime forces targeted a demonstration in the central mall, in addition to a widespread arrest campaign targeting several demonstrators.
Daraa: Sheikh Meskeen: Shelling by regime forces has not stopped. Tens of mortars landing on the south easteren area between Sheikh Meskeen and Ibta’a.
Damascus Suburbs: Douma: A little boy and girl from Al-Khatib family were martyred after being shot by a regime sniper near Al-Mujahedeen square.
Damascus Suburbs: Dumair: Khaled Darwish Ksser and Ismaeel Mohamed Kelany were martyred as a result of direct shooting by regime forces in one of the mosques.
Damascus: Muhajreen: Regime forces are removing cars from the neighbourhood; they also prevented evening prayers in the area. They are preparing the area for Assad to pray Eid tomorrow in one of the mosques.
Aleppo: Tens of people are martyred and wounded due to a shell falling on a residential building in Qadi Aaskar neighborhood.
Qamishli: Several people are injured after regime forces opened fire at an evening demonstration in the city center.
Daraa: Basr Al-Harir: Regime forces open fire heavily from the city's checkpoints.
Daraa: Daeel: Regime forces shell the town with mortars and artillery, while calls for the Eid prayer sound around town.
Homs: Talkalakh: Regime forces open fire heavily from the checkpoints around the city.
Damascus Suburbs: Al-Tal: The bodies of 6 martyred, who had been executed and burned, were found inside an apartment in Arbaeen Street.

Damascus Suburbs: Mleiha: Regime forces intensely shell the town with mortars and rockets, while opening fire by machine guns from planes.
Homs: Talbiseh: Ahmad Izzeldeen was martyred and his two children were critically wounded due to an artillery shell falling in the area.
Hama: Sahl Ghab: Shelling of Ghab and Jabal Shahshabo villages by airplanes.
Damascus: Clashes between the Free Syrian Army and the regime forces in Qadam neighborhood, along with shelling of Qadam and Asali neighborhoods by the regime forces.
Damascus Suburbs: Douma: Several explosions shook Karm Al-Rasas and Malaab areas, accompanied by shelling with machine guns by the regime forces' warplanes at Iftar.
Damascus Suburbs: Bloudan: The regime forces intensely shell houses in which displaced people from Zabadani are residing, in an attempt to increase the pressure on them.
Damascus: Zamalka: There are fires in the Taama factory due to a tank shell falling on the building.
Damascus: Hmouria: The regime forces are shelling the city with mortars and heavy artillery.
Idlib: Jisr Al-Shoghour: 4 shells landed at the villages of eastern suburbs, which were launched by Maasara checkpoint stationed near Mahambal town.
Lattakia: Ghanemia: Fierce shelling was launched by regime forces at the village from the observatory of Qasab village.
Deir Ezzor: Myadein: Young Ahmad Sultan Al-Abdallah Al-Sultan was martyred by regime forces.

Deir Ezzor: Seven members of the Free syrian Army were martyred due to gunfires by the regime forces Maadan. Four of those martyrs were identified. However, the regime forces stole the other three bodies. The names of the four martyrs are Lieutenant Abdullah Freij of Hasaka, Amin ghafel Shuaibi, Khaled Omar, and Ahmed Mohamed Shuaibi.
